Just wondering what the SJ is like there?

Nice courses? Up to height? Fillers, lots or hardly any?

Nice arena? Food!?

It's a little further to travel compared to other venues round me, so only want to go if the course'll be good!

Thank you

Can't comment on the SJing but I do go to dressage comps there and can say that the food is excellent and the people very friendly and helpful.

I can't rate it enough. The jumps are good, courses not to technical but all have fillers/planks etc. Also there is often a skinny to test you, plus some natural fences to. They run working hunter and show jumping so do plenty of events. The people are friendly and the food's fantastic. The arena is large and has a good surface for jumping.

I've been several times, like you its further than my 'local' venue but it was a nice place to take green or younger horses because they have a very laid back attitude.

hope this helps

I'm guessing your local and mine may be the same, Manor Farm, just a guess from your avatar?

Bananaman looks like she goes to Fenning Farm?

I probably see you both but have no idea!

Yes, your right there! I'm about 30/35mins from Manor Farm, 20mins from Lordsbridge. Keysoe is about an hour, but I love it there so don't mind traveling. I didn't even know Fennings Farm existed until someone on here recommended it for Dressage yesterday!! It's only about 25mins from me! Will definitely be going over there, especially as they are running BSJA soon - Im about to join! Just need a bit more practise

Right, think I'll venture over to Sissons then on the 30th!

They def have some unusual jumps & the people are v friendly & helpful. I found the arena tight-ish but that's prob cos A can be a handful.

Evenag114 & Bananaman - as I'm in the same area, we've prob come across each other without realising. My horse looks like the one in my avatar & his show name is Corrigan II, so pls say hello if you come across me? (I'll be the one having trouble with the brakes...)

Courses usually built by the owner (I used to do them when I was a livery), distances can be odd when built by owner - non horsey and doesn't really have any understanding about riding a course.

Food good, parking good, nice range of fences and surface usually good
