and she came 4th!!!! Considering she is a full-time working mother of FOUR children, has just started her own business up and up untill 2 1/2 yrs ago hadn't ridden (properly - not including the odd hack on any of mine) for over 20yrs - it's all pretty awesome!!!!!

I am SOOOO proud of her!! After all the bollox she (me) had to deal with from her first horse (the original lout - actually, was lamb to begin with, turned nasty and tried to get you in the stable, in the field and riding - nowt wrong with it either, just plain EVIL!!!), she has come SUCH a long way with her little TB.

10 months ago she started having weekly lessons. 8 months ago she was scared of cantering. 6 months ago she was scared of cantering on grass. 4 months ago she had her first jumping lesson!!! 2 months ago she jumped outside for the first time!!!!!!!

OK, so today was just for people who have lessons at the riding school where her horse is on working livery, whether you ride on school horses or take your own. Bear in mind that there is only 1 other person that rides him - all others are too scared of his speed - it's pretty much full livery. She scored 67 for her dressage - personal best, having competed in a few dressage tests over teh winter - clear SJ and had the fastest time XC for which she was penalised as she was 2min 30secs inside the optimum time (weird scoring if you ask me). If she'd gone slower, she'd have WON!!!!
