bit naughty to put it on here but has anyone used horsequest and horseselect to sell? trying to sell my 16hh 9yr bsja mare as have had to return to work in our business full time and with a toddler i am beyond exhausted! am of course using horse and hound and horsemart, have also dropped price to 3.5k and still no luck! had 2 phone calls and they both got to vetting stage and then pulled out,(not mares fault!) the whole process is driving me mad and seriously getting me down.... any suggestions gratefully recieved! thanks.x

I used www.thehorseexchange.com - and my mare sold in about 2 / 3 weeks.

Unfortunately it does sometimes take time, and a lot of frustration to find your neddy a new home. I know that it is annoying that potential buyers pulled out at the last minute - but if they are do that - then I would take it that they weren't the right people for your horse.

Good luck with finding the right person.

Also try:

www.stabletalk.co.uk
www.rightequine.co.uk and
www.e-neigh.co.uk

I had a lot of calls from Horsequest, especially when I drastically reduced the price, so lots of people must look at that site.

Your horse sounds a very good price, perhaps too good to be true? Have you got a link as I was looking for something like this and I can tell you if I would have rung you up if I was in your county, if you want another unbiased opinion?

I only had one enquiry from Horsequest however my beautiful well bred BSJA etc. Mare is dearer. so that may have put people off ..how about Horsedeals?...

I recently sold through the Pony Club website. I advertised on there and on horsemart. The day the ad went on I had 10 phone calls and about 10 emails too. I had 2 people to see who didn't follow on and then the 3rd to see him bought him and she saw his ad on the PC website.

If your horse might be suitable for a teen going onto horses then the PC website might be worth a go.

i shall try the pc website - shes perfect for a confident young rider to go out and have some fun on. her breeding is good - shes by the advanced eventer the lawbreaker who is by landgraf - and on the other side trifolio by mill reef!!! will try horsedeals too if i dont get any response. i have a little vid of her (my friend riding her for the first time in the school so not great quality!)
