I know i get fab tips on here so here is my latest problem.

Ive mastered rising trot but to get me used to the cantering rhythm we (me, my horse and instructor) are working on sitting trot - with and without stirrups.

Now i totally trust my instructor, she is fabulous - but she says i am doing fine in sitting trot whereas i feel i am bouncing too much - it feels uncomfortable and i do worry for my horses back.

Any professional tips to help me bounce less??? -

I want to go with my horse, not bounce along along with him.

Any tips greatly appreciated xxx

Try to sit on your bum, sounds obvious but before you start, bring your knees up to your chest and let them drop down and this will put you on your bum. When you start sitting trot, imagine a crease in your stomach, this will stop you hollowing and keep you on your bum, look up and where you are going.
Have fun :)

RELAX, RELAX, RELAX!!!!

I do a lot of schooling without stirrups to improve my seat and as soon as I tense I bounce.....a lot! the more you tense the harder your butt hits the saddle. I know its hard. My instructor has also had me doing 20m circles, without stirrups with my eyes closed  this really helped me to relax strangely enough, you have to feel the rythym of your horse. Don't do it without anyone with you though!!

I've read this in one in a magazine - try doing 4 strides rising, 4 strides sitting, 4 strides 2-point. I hope it makes any sense, it helped me to adjust to sitting trot, since you don't have to sit to it all the time.
Also, I can't sit to my horse's trot when he's fresh, we need to warm up 20 mins in all three paces and then he softens over his back and I can sit to it. Sorry if you knew all that already :)
