Is 12 ft x 8ft big enough for a shelter for a 13hh and a 14.2hh??

I would say it depends if they're going to be shut in or not.
My friend has an shelter which I'm sure is smaller, and her 16.1 and sec a happily go in when its wet!

no they won't be shut in it, was planning to hang a hay net at either end for them, one each. We also have lots of trees for shelter.

If its open on the long side, then I'd say OK, but if you keep horses in there who may fight, it would have to be wider to allow them the go in there without being trapped.
