As I have shrunk

I could really do with purchasing some new breeches/jods. My old ones are still wearable, but not if I have to do a lot of walking, as the material once filled by my backside, is now empty, causing the crotch to be lower..... It's not comfy!

So, what size will I need, if I am now an 18 dress size? I used to wear size 36/38/40 breeches - depended on the make....

Any suggestions welcomed - thanks!

Now you're just showing off aren't you!!

Get down to your local saddlers - try them all on and buy the most expensive ones as a reward for you dedication

I tried the Isolde when I was fatter (still fat as you know), I wasn't keen, but maybe that was because the material was stretched to the limit then - LOL

I was wondering if I might fit into a 32 now?

P.S. Moving the ponies tomorrow!!

PMSL!!! If I was showing off, I'd be modeling the new Pikuer range, in a size 10!

I daren't spend too much, as I want to loose more...

32" equates to a size 16 - Can I recommend the Harry Hall Balmoral Breeches for a reasonably smart/comfy/not too dear/everyday type. I brought mine from my local tack shop, but you can get then online here - http://www.stockleyonline.co.uk/catalog/harry-hall-balmoral-breech-p-475.html

Looks like they only do up to 32" (but you may aswell get them as even if they are a little snug now, it will give you something to work too)!!! Well done by the way, I would love to lose that many inches!!!

Well done!! But I would only buy cheap breeches as you are not going to fit in them for too long as you will be needing the next size down again very soon!!

Well done again big pats!!

Thanks everyone!! I'd rather not spend more than £20 tbh, coz as you say, I will hopefully be too small for them again soon. Maybe I'll just get some braces for the ones I have, as they are rather nice, full seated mock suede breaches.... I can pull them up to under my bra

It's quite funny actually.....

Anybody ever bought 2nd hand breeches off ebay - would you?

I'm an 18 with long legs - a 32" will do fine as all jods nowadays have a little give + if you buy a 34" they'll sag before you know it on your thin booty!

Why don't you try www.equestrianclearance.com?

I've got these dublin ones which are gorgeous and look like new after a year of intensive wear -

i'm also planning on getting these caldene ones as they're £17.99 instead of £53.99 in my size!!!

I love this website.

Maybe it's just me but I buy a size 30 in jods and I'm a size 12/14. They tend to not be too tight around the waist, but fit fine everywhere else too. I can't imagine getting in a 26 or a 28 and feeling as comfortable.....although I do own a pair of Shires Saddlehuggers in 28. They're ok, but I prefer the 30's.
