Not strictly CR but am in need of help - would like to order some new hind XC boots for the small fluffy one as the squeeking/slipping of his Prem Equine ones is driving me mad!
Lots of ppl recommending N.E.W. but I'm unsure as to sizing....

Pone is 15hh Irish Sport Horse with a bit of bone and short legs. Have got my eye on either the "Lite" XC boots or the aircooled ones. By reading their blurb he is def not large but wondering between small and medium. Does anyone have these that could give me an idea of sizing?

Many thanks!

tbh i'd ring them and ask, i've found them really helpful. i love the aircooled ones, but only have fronts.
btw, if you look at my post about Dr David Marlin's lecture about XC Boots for horses, he was very emphatic about NOT fitting boots tight, about the fact that if the boots have to be fitted really tight, they don't fit that horse, or they're not well designed.
my front NEW boots fit like a glove, must admit. i really rate them, use 4 pairs every single day.

I have some and they do come up quite big. I agree with the idea of ringing them. They may send you a set of each size to try.
I have used mine for years and they have never moved an inch even in the muddiest conditions. They really are superb boots and they wash really well.

I have a 14.2 Irish connie cross and he has the air cooled hind boots and takes the small - the width is fine, they could be a tiny bit shorter but do not rub or restrict him at all. Finding decent XC boots for ponies is not easy! They are a fantastic though, never slipped or rubbed and are so much lighter than his front woof Ultra's which do absorb water. They have done 2 seasons now and apart from the binding at the bottom of one wearing a little they are as good as new.
