Sizings of Rambo stable rugs..

its just like ladies sizing- i keep finding every different rug has a different fit! My horse should be a 6'6, he has a 6'6 amigo stable which is just right, but bit snug, a 6'9 amigo turnout which fits normally and a 6'9 rambo newmarket fleece which is massive! I just want a rambo stable rug and dont know whether to go for a 6'6 or 9....

oh the dilemma! Dont think there are any at yard to ask to try on,,.hmm

I've got a Rhino combo stable rug and found it to be on the generous side. It was a 5'9" and the rest of his rugs were all 6'. It fitted fine him fine.

If it's a stable rug you're thinking of getting, I'd go for the 6'6" unless your chap is unusually wide, or is big through the shoulder.

But I'd opt for a 6'9" for a turnout version. These can always afford to be a bit generous size wise.

thank you Spyda, that was what I thought to do, stay the same for stable and occasionally go up for turnouts...now to sell a rug to pay for another!!

Aaaah, I know the feeling! I've 13 rugs sat here, all back from the cleaners todays and needing to be found new homes to pay the the set of 4 rugs I've just bought for my growing 2 year old. I've bought her all 6'6" Rambo's and have warned her that she'd better not grow out of these ones or else!!!

can you not buy on a return basis if bigger or smaller req? i find rambos sizing exaxtly as they say!

Me too - my horse is always perfect in a 6,3 regardless of Rambo that I buy (and other makes too).

the cheapest place on 'net and also my local shop I dont think they would let me, even if i put a sheet on underneath to try. Will try to borrow one just to be surehaha
