I know I'm probably asking for the impossible, but does anyone set up a mini SJ course in a 20x40m at home for practice??

If you do, could you let me see pictures so I can work out how the heck to set them up.

Thanks in advance

They used to where I used to livery. Can't quite remember layout but it was always 8 jumps in a figure of eight. Another thing you can do is put jumps in the middle like the spokes of a wheel then everytime you turn you can jump a different one.

I think you could fit 6 jumps in how about a 3 stride related distance down 1 long side an oxer on the other long side a double across the diagonal and an upright across the other diagonal? it will be tight but if you have a well balanced horse and the jumps are not massive you should be fine.

one we do is have three jumps in a row (no 2,3,4)(along side one another) about three quarters of the way up the school and one jump on its own(no 1 ) about quarter of a way up the school and then link them together so something like no 1,2,4,1,3,1,2,4 etc etc not a proper course as such but useful for practicing turns and differing striding as the no1 and no 3 jumps would be say three strides but no 2 and 4 will be slightly longer due to being on a diagonal so use the push for three hold for four type exercise
