Last week I posted that my sj trainer had to really push me as my confidence was very low & the pony was misbehaving, probably because of this. This week, OMG the whole thing was just fab, apart from the massive spook at a BUCKET OF WATER when we almost parted company!! The flatwork & jumping was all great, jumped some decent size fences for my little ponio, 90cm, & the gate thing which made me cry last week was easy peasy!!! With horses its definately one week you're up, the next you're down, I feel so proud of both of us, just a little concerned as he started mentioning that she's got plenty of scope yet, oh dear!!!

i totally get what you're saying about horses being great levellers. the last couple of weeks have been really good with Frankie, but last night i rode him and it was awful. my riding was bad, my position was all over the place and he had no idea what i was asking of him. so i got really mad which of course made him tense!

agh

good on you though, and if you were to lose your confidence again just remember what you did in your lesson! keep replaying it back in your head, thats what im trying to do after last night! xx

Thats really good advice, we're competing on Sunday, so if I ride her like I did today with Paul helping me, hopefully should be ok!! Sorry it didn't go so well for you yesterday, but at least you knew what your problems were, have another go later, good luck.
