Does anyone know of any good ones?

I am about ten minutes from Broadway in Worcs and I don't want to travel miles.

My next door neighbour took someone to Simon Nicholsons recently and said he was very good, has anyone else used him?

I don't want anyone that is aggressively shouty or that will frighten me but I'd like them to push me and my horse a bit. I have a fabulous dressage trainer but she is not really into her jumping anymore.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

thanks

Do you want pure SJ or not? Roland Fernyhough is very very good but not that close to you - about an hour away. Bill Levett is very near you and brilliant, but is not a pure SJer. I can highly recommend him though, he has turned my SJ around to the point where I have joined the BSJA!

Doesn't have to be pure SJ, I have been eventing but horse is currently stopping at ditches.

I thought that I'd leave the xc till next year - when we will have done some more hunting - and work on my SJ as I am currently stuck at 1.00, even 1.05 seems beyond reach although 1.00 seems small!

Stupid really and horse is dying to go bigger as he loves his SJ. Is BL near Chipping Camden? And is he non-shouty?

Yes, in fact possibly in Chipping Campden - I should know as I have been to his yard

Very non-shouty, in fact he is brilliant as he gives you several ways to do things, gets you to try them then lets you pick which one you feel most confident with and works with you using that technique. He is very much of the opinion that you need to stay confident, so will make sure you are happy with heights etc.

Put it this way - beginning of the season we were skin of our teeth round 90cm courses, now we can jump 1.10 course perfectly happily. I have had all of about 5 sessions with him to achieve that.
