SJ Vs Eventers/Dressage

Ok my first experience of BSJA today, well ive been around BE events and ive never experienced anything like it, Ive never seen so many horses rearing, and generally being naughty, (my mare looked like a angel). Also the people with draw reins, and hogging the warm up fence and making it massive!!!!

Oh my eyes have been opened!!!

haha, where did you go? if the warm-up's small (and/or indoors) the best SJers trick is to warm up only on 1 rein (the rein you can jump the fences from) and not bother with the other rein at all, drives me crackers!

I had similar but i was on the loon!! tiny warm up, fortunately had both reins for warm up, but i just had the eye opener of some truly shocking riding!!

Yeah, BSJA and eventing SJ is totally different. I do both so see both sides all the time! I do find BE SJ far more inviting. At BSJA more of the riders are selfish and up themselves (fence hogging, expecting you to get out of their way etc.) and they always build the fences stupid high.

Weston Lawns!! The dealers are the best, really hogging the fences and only going round the 1 way!!!

I just kept putting the fence down and shouting loudly that I was going to jump it and that I wanst sure why the fences were bigger than the class!!!
