Hi all

I am looking for a trainer / teacher whatever the term is these days, having scoured the list in the BE and BSJA web sites there seems to be a lack in my area (Woking / Guildford) but I am willing to travel. At Nov level BE and New BSJA. Horse slightly quirky and rider more so

I have picked out a few due to locality and wonder if anyone has any thoughts or even better someone you would recommend. PM me if you wish

rob stevens does pretty good job at that level so does mark corbet. sarah macdonald if same one i know was based in yard near weybridge easy to get to but i would say more BHS orientated however has got her BHSI i think so should know a bit. also try terry allen he is on the accredited trainers list, trains rebecca gibbs amonsgt others in the locality and has his own place now not too far from guilford.

Out of interest, how much? I had a Masterclass lesson for a magazine with a BSJA accredited trainer - asked him afterwards about lessons and he said yes, he would teach me but it was £75 per hour which with diesel on top would have made it over £100 which I just couldn't run to.

Is that what most of the BSJA trainers charge?

Personally wouldn't bother with Mark C myself

I found Keith Doyle useful for showjumping, he is based Yately

Corrine is brill ive trained with her for a while now

'Personally wouldn't bother with Mark C myself'

Out of interest, why not?

i used to have Mark corbett teach me @pony club and found him great! i have regular lessons with corinne, and she is the best in our area, but is very hard to get hold of now she is freelance, i go to her @medstead grange, where a group lesson is £33 for an hour! and she also does alot of teaching at team truxford, which is just past farnham ish.

Hi

Does Keith let you come to him and what facilities?
I have found someone to help me till sept but then he moves up north, Saf won't jump like a SJ she is defo more eventer style so I need someone who understands she does not like to change her style, hope that makes sense

Yes, he prefers you to go to him.
He has an indoor school with a good surface and a very big outdoor paddock covered with sand, not best surface but he levels it specifically for a lesson and I never had a problem with it.
He was £45 for a private lesson going to him.
Worth a try I would think!

''no she sadly isnt at thundry anymore! ''

Well thats odd because i still train with her their! lol

as you can prob see \/
