Skerne Leys haylage

Hi everyone,
I am looking for advice, my elderly pony is prone to laminitis in the past and have been advised to move him on to Skerne Leys haulage and I am not sure which one is most suitable for him. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience of using these products. Thank You
 
Looking at their website - they have ryegrass, meadow and traditional. But they don’t say what grasses their ‘traditional’ is, except it’s the lowest nutritional one they do.
If your older pony is prone to losing weight in winter you might find meadow better than traditional. If he’s easy to gain weight try their traditional.
You could contact them to ask what their traditional is, what grasses it has in it. It may be older meadow mix without any ryegrass at all. The ‘meadow’ may be mixed grasses including some ryegrass.
Ryegrass haylage isn’t so much the devil that ryegrass hay is, because its fermented the sugars down, especially if the ryegrass content is no more than 20% in the mix.

I haven’t used them to know if it’s well-made proper haylage, but hopefully someone will chime in having used it.
 
I was looking at this for my pony as she has ems and Cushings . I couldn’t find any figures for sugar and starch etc.

I know H&M haylage list theirs so might go with them.
 
They're local to me and I use them quite a lot. I don't know much about their different hayleges (I use traditional and it's lovely), but they're really friendly so just give them a bell and they'll be able to answer any questions you have xx
 
I use it. I have a fatty so I mostly buy the blue one (I'd try pink but our local stores don't stock that one). It's lovely stuff. Smells really nice and so long as you keep it dry and well aired once opened it lasts well.

I've always assumed they don't give figures because the mix varies? But as @Trot_on says they are very friendly so I'd give them a call if I were you.
