Skin bumps and Releve mix / Alfa A

I recently changed feed to Releve mix with a touch of Alfa A. My horse has come out in what I thought were heat bumps (he has history of these as he is a very hot horse). Small lumps which scab after a few days. I'll be calling Saracen's tomorrow but has anyone had a similar experience? He was previously on Releve cubes with no issues, also on Saracen Super Fibre cubes with no issues. He's had HiFi Molasses Free before which also has Alfa and had no issues.

We've decided to strip back his feed as an experiment and he will be on basic cubes from tomorrow to see if the bumps go.

Thanks. The protein level in the mix is the same as the cubes he was fine with.... Hence wondering about the ingredients.

I had one do that to any barley in feed.

It's been so mild lately my clipped one came in with lumps on his neck and belly so don't know if they were some kind of bites, it was 14 degrees here all night last night crazy weather for November.

Or could have been that he was just too warm.

We've worked out it's heat bumps. Now managed to get rid of most by under rugging... Thanks for all the advice.
