looking for a bit of advice. My rising 6 year old cob x has hair loss on his face, neck area and tail. He lost his tail about a year ago and it’s just scraps of hair. His face and neck hair seemed to be growing back mid winter but has since gotten noticeably worse. His tail is thickening up at the top but beings as his face hair is getting worse I don’t want him to lose what tail is growing back
Initially the vet thought fungal infection so we used shampoos etc which didn’t seem to make a huge difference, then neck thread worm was mentioned so we did the worming programme for that and it seemed to help slightly but as I said the issue has since come back. We never see him itching and there’s never any scabs or scratches on the bald bits just no hair.
I’ve attached some pictures (hopefully they’ve worked). Just hoping someone has had similar or could suggest what it may be?
