skin so soft as fly spray?

Hi,
I've read somewhere (prob on here!) that Avon skin so soft works well as a fly repellant or included in a home-made fly repellant. But I've just been onto the Avon website to get some ordered, and they have loads of things called skin so soft! I've some friends who use this on their mare with sweet itch. They use the spray one.

I've been using it for years! I swear by it, it helps keeps the flys away and condition the coat, and has a very pleasant smell.

Original is the best, and has fewer chemicals that the one designed for human bug spray (they also may contain deet, which you don't want!).

Ebay is your friend here, you want Soft and Fresh. Type in Avon Fly and it will come up. I have 10 bottles bought cheaply on Ebay. The only trouble with it is that it needs to be kept warm otherwise it solidifies! Mine is kept in my pocket for this reason.

My horse was allergic to it, was gutted as bought a job lot on ebay!! i wasn';t convinced it works for the flies on me or my other horse, either...

I'm afraid that I'm not sure - I have never used it myself but have heard wonderful things about it (both for people and horses) so have just ordered some now. I was thinking of spraying a tiny bit onto the horses, just on a little patch, to see how it affects them before attempting to use it more.
