i know a skinned pad can be sore and over the years have had several instances of this with various dogs who have been very lame initially.
Husbands dog was away with him on a wild camping trip up in the cairngorms at the weekend, by all accounts he had a fabulous time
however he has a small area of skinned skin on a back pad... its really nothing to look at. However this lad is refusing to weight bare on it!!
Im sat looking at him now, licking and fussing over the pad, so (thankfully) it is obviously stingy and sore. I say thankfully as obviously there is a bit of me worrying he's done something else
Has anyone else had such an extreme reaction to skinned pad
dont worry, trip to the vets if this doesnt improve but having had a good feel of his leg there are no sore bits or swellings, other than the pad.
thanks for reading... here's a pic of the lad himself enjoying his trip
