My horse is on loan and I think she's too thin to be ridden at the moment. I want her to be fed the same as my other tb horse, high energy mash and alfalfa chaff, but the loaners don't want that as they're worried it will make her fizzy, they have done their own 'research' I also don't want her ridden at the moment, again they disagree 🤷‍♀️ What so you think?
I have tried uploading images with no success, it says they're too large. Anyway I put her condition score between 1 and 2 on the bhs website, prob closer to 1 at the moment.

Your horse, your rules. If the loaners are worried that an up-to-weight TB is going to be too fizzy for them then they shouldn't be loaning a TB. Maybe they're concerned about the high energy mash, there are plenty of feeds on the market that aid weight gain without making them too energetic.

I would take her back too. You have only a short window of opportunity to make a difference here, I would take it.
