Skinny Minnie arrived just over 4 weeks ago looking like this:

Today, I took off her rugs and she looks like this:

Her scabs and sores have healed up and there are signs of hair re-growth. Her locking stifles are much better now she is a bit fitter, and she is just lovely!

I have no idea what breed/s she might be. She is around 14hh and is 4 years old in March. Not really bothered what she is tbh, all I know is she is fab :D

So, goodbye Skinny Minnie, and hello Bailey :D

Wow! That is a very quick improvement! Lucky her to have found you!

Can you not keep her being called Minnie though? I know a few Bailey geldings! UNless of course she is a tomboy ;-)

Thanks all, not down to me at all, just good old Dr Green and plenty of hay. If I feel particularly generous I use a fishermans catapult to fire some pony nuts up the hill :D It means she has to wander about a bit more than she ordinarily would, thus building muscle that helps with her slipping stifles.

Brilliant job MrsElle :) We have recently had a similar breakthrough with an old mare so I fully understand that excited feeling when you take the rug off and dont see bones!

I think you should post me your scrummy highland so you can concentrate on minnie! :p

Ah thats so nice seeing her looking so much better now! Well done you, bet she's going to be very happy in her new home! :D
