skull cap BE

do you have to wear a skull cap for the xc at BE events?or can you do the xc in a velvet traditional style riding hat?ta

very similar question i have a velvet one with straps and a scull cap does it matter which one i wear for the dressage phase also do you have to take you hat up to the secratery to get it tagged.should i take both up to be tagged or just the one.

You need your hats to be tagged for jumping. So if only planning to use velvet for Dressage would not need to worry. If planning on Sj in velvet and xc in skull both will need tagging. Just take them both up at the same time. My advise would to be to wear velvet for dressage and looks tidier and smarter.

I see some people doing XC in the GPA style hats but I have never seen anyone do it in a velvet. I would advise a skull as the peak is not fixed.
