Skull caps - recomendations?

Hi!
I'm trying to decide which skull cap to go for. I know I need to try on etc but would like your opinons too.

I've had Champions and Charles and Owen before. I really like the hat I have now - Just togs light weight skull but not sure what to go for this time.

Must haves: BS and PAS approved as hoping to BE soon, Soft suedey/ leather type harness.

Also my hats tend to ming after a while - sweaty head!!! - so could do with a breathable / lightweight hat. Any ideas? Oh and preferably not £100+ as I have my smart showing / sj hat and this one is mainly for riding at home and xc.

I have a Champion Ventair deluxe and I love it

I got a C&O J3 for Christmas and I love it - so comfortable and lightweight.

if it's for BE, i'd go for an HS1 or similar... i'd never pay less than £100 for a hat for xc, my brain's a bit precious!

Champion Ventair, very comfy and they last forever! Had one of mine since they first came out!

I have both the peaked and skull and i'm about to buy the new evolution one, they are also v good on customer services my peaked one faded so spoke to the women at burghley who took mine back and gave me a new one which apparently has a different fabric on it! (But it did take a month 2 come)

Go for the one that fits the shape of your head best - some people have more oval heads than others, so not all hats suit all heads.

Sorry to be dense - does the "ventair" bit still work when you put a silk on top - or are you not supposed to?

I've got a normal satin silk on mine and it still works but you can get the silk designed by champion that only has a mesh over the top of the vents
