Skye has just been to her first "open" flyball tournament. She was put in a team as "6th" dog and for the first 4 races ran only in the warm up. Her first run was quite funny--she jumped 2 jumps, then stopped, looked round as if to say "am I doing it right?" the Box loader encouraged her to the box and she took the ball and ran back correctly.
Next time she ran up and back correctly and quite fast.
In the last race of the day the she was in the team properly and ran up and back absolutely perfectly and was reasonably fast and helped the Team to 1st place.
I and OH were so thrilled with her. It was her first time indoors and her first time without wings by the jumps.
Yeahhhhhhh! Clever dog and she was so pleased with herself.
Sorry, a bit self indulgent but afer her confidence problems it is lovely to see progress.
