Just to update you all on my new dog, Skye.
I still daren't let her off the lead in open spaces but in an enclosed area she is beginning to come when called, so progress there.
Her Flyball training is really coming along nicely. She will now run up and back AND trigger the box and catch her ball. we are getting quite excited as she will soon hopefully be able to do her first "proper" competition.
She is generally much happier and more settled. She is putting on a bit of weight and her coat is loooking good.
Thank you to everyone for their advice and guidance.

Glad to hear she is making progress, and well done.

This time last year I could barely let B off the lead on our own property, now the only time he is on a lead on our walks is if we see other people/dogs or livestock and now he walks to heel instead of lunging as we pass - baby steps!

Glad she is improving, look forward to hearing of her success at her first competition

"baby steps"

A good description. She is like a child with some learning difficuties--- small steps and a long time to learn each one.
Patience, patience, patience.
I must have one of the few slow learning collies!
