She is a blue and white Border Collie, I'd wanted 1 for about 8 years before I got her and I think she's the loveliest colour, she's even a nicer shade than most of the other blues I see. Her daughter that I kept is lilac and she's a nicer lilac than others I see too!
 
Blue? Lilac? Wow! Can you post some pics of her, please? Don't think I've ever seen that colour on any dog.

I met a guy with one black and white collie, one red (?), one merle today (plus a Goldie and a working cocker, all his bar the spangle). I thought I was the crazy one with 3 ESS!

There are pics on here that I have posted before, but I'll post the pics I took of all my dogs yesterday that I took in the frost.

Yes, 6 years old is a BC's prime, but she has already done me proud, competing at Crufts last year.

I bred Skye to a slate merle tri dog, I'd wanted a slate merle pup, but she didn't have any merles, Star was the 1st born, lilac/white and the others were all blue tris. I knew Skye carried red as her dad is a red merle and carried tri as her mum is a black tri, but we didn't know the dog carried red until Star was born (in his 4th litter, he's had reds since though).
 
Happy Birthday Skye she really is a stunning girl, my bf has got a lilac Chi which is a very rare colour for a Chi but she cost mega money, I think I will stick with my B/T I cant get my head around genetics.:D

Thanks. Lilac is a very rare colour for BC's too, on anadune the year Star was born there were 16 lilacs born and 5706 BC's of all colours, so that's 0.3% of dogs born that year were lilac. I was offered 200 pounds more for Star, but I turned them down for 2 reasons, 1. I was keeping her and 2. they weren't the right home for her, they were a pet home and they lived in London.
