Upped the anti and dared to trot Skylla bareback :eek3:! I tried to soften the blow with a saddlecloth, but my inelegant attempt at 'hopping' on and not shifting the saddlecloth was met with a mad deer pogo leap, I cowardly slithered off and removed it
. Skylla stood like a rock for me to get on minus it
.
She felt fairly confident about the au natural style riding the mad human had decided on, so we went for a trot. Skylla thought this good fun until I gripped a bit, so she thought CANTER  I wobbled about, thought oh god no, gripped and prayed to every almighty being out there for no canter and just trotting :eek3:, (if anyone has tried cantering a wildly un-cordinated baby carriage horse they will know my, ahem, 'reservation' to cantering bareback).
Thankfully Skylla accepted the lack of exciting stuff graciously, and was really a very good egg at putting up with the wobbly human.
