First up was Topaz at our first AF on Friday, the least said the better! I have the most rotten cold, then the box wouldn't start, so had to phone round for a replacement, this meant I missed the arena walk. Arrived to find I'd clearly forgotten the size of the arenas and the nice bright indoor was the warm-up and the scary indoor was the test arena :o. Topaz warmed up fabby, listening and generally just lovely, into the test and ah well t'was not our day... Last in class is an achievement in our book :o ;).

So glossing over that :D.

Next day was Skylla's turn to do her first grown-up test which involved cantering ! She is just the bestest ever, love her loads :D. She's getting so much more relaxed about me getting on , but I was still mega chuffed that she let me tack her up and get straight on and into the warm-up for her first away arena with zero issues! Rode through the test and despite canter being rather tricky in a 20x40m (her legs are too long ), she was ever so grown up :D. Managed a rather generous 65% to win her first prelim test .

Clever baby horse :D.

Bless Skylla and her long legs.... :wink3: She's looking grand though :)

Hmm just her legs are long nothing else , plus she's maturing front to back so her hind end looks like it belongs to a horse a year younger .

That's brilliant, well done. She looks every inch the dressage diva

Ah thanks think she quite liked her outing :D.

Clever baby Skylla 😍 xx

She is very clever and brave, love her loads!

Well done :)

Thanks :).

Well done she is definitely looking taller though:)

Nope I shall not accept it she is still 15.2hh *sticks fingers in ears and squints at the alarmingly large looking baby horse*.

Aww bless I LOVE your grinning in the photos, and hers! She's gorgeous, if she weren't grey I might come and steal her from you.

She makes my heart sing, love her to bits she tries so hard, plus I always wanted a grey :D. As she's so small I can hide her easily ;).

She's so pretty! :)

Her little cute face is so beautiful :).

Absolutely nothing wrong at all with being last after the dressage. Well done, Topaz.

Do not encourage her ;) naughty Topaz know's that photographer's don't actually bite and indoors are not that scary! Strange day when the four year is much more of a relaxing ride .

She looks lovely - well done!

Ah thank you, she seems to quite like jumping too (of the one jump we've done ) so you never know eventing may be on the cards at some point.

Look at those lovely LONG lets and those HUGE groundcovering paces.

Bet you felt like your head was in the clouds!

:D

Seriously though, well done Skylla the Giant! :D

:mad3:*Glares at Damnation*:mad3:

Little baby Skylla feels very close to the ground (honestly, really and truly she does *not trying to convince myself at all over here*)
