Due to the legislation in America the horses which are to be slaughtered have to travel to Mexico or Canada. Illegal slaughterhouses are now in practice in America. This is a bit of a corny usa style news clip and please be warned there are some upsetting scenes but it does go to show why we need our slaughterhouses in this country and why we should never allow them to be closed. If a horse is to be slaughtered then it should be done in a humane way with the least stress possible. Unfortunately American horses are not afforded this. There are further more distressing links on you tube from this organisation which seems to have done a good job uncovering whatgoes on in Miami.
