Anyone have one? Are they worth it, or are there other equally 'good' options out there!?
I currently use plastic and rubber curry combs on my hairy yaks...

I bought one from your horse live after wanting one for ages to use on hairy border collie n my horse - not used on horse yet though am taking it to yard this afternoon as winter coat is starting to shift - border collie I would say my shedding blade works better - I would save ur pennies and buy a shedding blade - basically sleekez looks like a hacksaw blade in a block of wood .. Am a little disappointed to be honest tho could change my mind once horse starts moulting properly 😋 ...

I have changed my mind, whilst still not very good on my dog, the blade is brilliant for getting the loose hair from my horse now he is moulting !! Wouldn't use it as a day to day grooming brush for getting through mud etc but as a "de hairer" brill !!

I thought I would say I was wrong as I know tack room posts appear in internet searches and didn't think it was fair to SleekEz to be negative - so witness a miracle - a woman admitting they were wrong - yes SleekEz is good ;)

The reports I've read from people who have bought them have usually been positive or negative with very little inbetween so I must admit to being very confused! no doubt the videos I see are impressive

My worry would be that it tears or chops at the hair as well as removing loose ones

Years ago I used blunt hacksaw blades which I got from the woodwork class at school. They worked well at removing the winter coat. Now I use a shedding blade.

I love mine - beats shedding blade hands down - I find you can use it more firmly and easier to hold. Mine works wonders on my moulting German Shepard too :)

I can't comment on the SleekEZ as I've not used one, but I can happily add another vote for the Furminator, it's superb. Mine's been going for years and still does a great job.

I was at an equine expo yesterday, every tack store had sold out of them by noon! They were scrambling to get fresh supplies to the showgrounds. They are THE latest fad and flying off the shelves. A retail friend there said she didn't rate them much, but hey! As long as people wanted to buy them then she would sell them :)

At the yard today it looked like someone had massacred a woolly sheep; but no it was my friend using her sleekEZ on her grey! There were absolutely mounds of hair coming off. I have been struggling for weeks to get the shedding hair off my horse so I asked what she was using; impressive!

Ive always thought these things were a bit of a gimmick. I have had a shedding blade since about the 90s but i did buy a furminator, and thought it was the biggest pile of poo. I assumed that this new thing would be as poo..

Lots of good reports though so i have to admit its very tempting..

fuggit, i have just bought one. jeepers.

Its an equigroomer on ebay, rather than a sleekez from usa. £20.
