Ok, so whats the difference between the two? I've read somewhere that the sliding cheek goes with a loose ring bradoon and the fixed with an eggbutt bradoon but thats all the info I could find!

Can anyone help?

I am fairly sure you can use any combination, it depends on your horse. Generally horses that are a bit fussy in their mouths go better with fixed bridoon and weymouth and those that lean or fix on you are better with more 'play' from the sliding cheek/loose ring. Just trial and error i think to find what works for your horse
