The other day I noticed that the inside of Dante's knee (towards the back but not the very back of the knee) and just slightly below his knee was 'puffy'. It was quite hard to see but I could feel the difference between that one & the other.
He didn't seem at all lame or sore, but I hosed it for a while & put some arnica/witchhazel gel on it (as I had it & I figured it couldn't hurt
) and put him back out in the field as he's currently living out 24/7. The following morning the swelling had reduced and was pretty much not visable at all, so I did the same as in the evening.
Now, I'm stuck at my boyfriend's parents house as my car broke down as we were driving to visit my mum yesterday, and I thought I would do some 'research'. (as we don't have internet at our flat yet - we only moved a few weeks ago). I'm now paranoid that it could be his check ligament or something as it seems to be that sort of area affected although all the others I've read have been the outside of the knee... and I don't even know what day I will be back this week to be able to get the vet out as I have no car now until it's fixed!
Also because we've just moved, I haven't used the vets here before & I'm not sure if I could arrange for anyone else to be there for the vets even because I don't really 'know' anyone in the area.
My mum has offered to possibly run me back tomorrow night if necessary so perhaps I could arrange to get the vet out for then?
I'm having one of those weeks & just stressing more & more now!
