Slight Swelling in Legs

Hey all,

I have a 9 year old Quarter Horse gelding (Archie). Lately I've noticed a very, very slight swelling (I think) in his front legs, on the inside. If I run my fingers over it, it seems just ever so slightly puffy--not noticeable to the eye without touch, however. There does not seem to be any heat and he is not lame.

More background information:
-Two years ago, Archie had an abscess and was lame for a couple of months; this is the only time such a thing has occurred
-Archie is ridden in an arena about 3 times a week for about 45 minutes each time
-Archie is turned out in a grassy paddock every day and stalled every night

I haven't been too worried about it yet, because, like I said, he doesn't show any signs of lameness when I ride him and there is no heat. I just wanted to throw it out there and get some input so I can know if I should be worried.

Thanks!

Hi, your post caught my eye, I used to own a sorrel QH and named him Archie.
I had to sell when he was 5 years old.
I wonder if this is the same horse? Does he have white hairs on his knee? He had an injury as a yearling. Do get in touch if you think your Archie may be the same I used to own, Id love to hear how he is doing and can give you lots of info about his younger years!
