Slight update

So glad he is up now. Really feeling for you right now, things must be awful, having gone through all that and then they can't sort it.

I really hope the other treatment works, the sesamoids are such a tricky area.

Hugs and get well vibes to Snoops

Oh bb's I'm so pleased to hear he's up on his feet and made it through the op - I'm gutted that it was inoperable and will keep everything crossed that the alternative treatments will work.
Sending you a huge ((((hug)))) babe

My SiL's mare was to have bone chip operated on last year, but again, they couldn't reach it so wasn't removed. Joint medicated, and box rested. She has been in work for 6 months or so now, and no problem so far.

Fingers all crossed for you.

Hugs

Time and lots of TLC will do the trick I reckon, oh and polos of course.

I'm hoping and praying that with time he will be able to get back to full work and you can compete again.

Big hugs to you BB's, this is such rotten luck but at least there is some light at the end of the tunnel, just keep on focusing on that.xx

BBs, I'm so sorry to read that the op didn't go to plan. Still, try and think positively, there can still be a good outcome with the other treatment. Thinking of you and Snoopy x

I am so pleased Snoopy has got up (((hugs))) for you both, V i have everything crossed for you its about time some good stuff happened for you this year

Oh god V I really cannot believe it, could fill my eyes welling up when I read your first post. So glad he is up now and everything crossed that he will pull through all this xxx

Thanks everyone for your kind works.

Currently looking into other options, second opinons etc. PPL have been so nice, although Im finding it all mind numbing and confusing.

Will get more ideas tonight once Ive been to visit Snoopy and hopefully seen a vet.

Trying to be optimistic. He's a strong cookie and will be back Im sure

So glad he's up. I am quite hopeful with what you've said Bud has fractures in his Sesamoids which we found last year when he went slightly lame, he had the injection but it didn't make mass of difference so he had 3 months off in field, came back into work and as you know (touching lots of wood) is ok...... Bud must have had them before we bought him, vet said probably done as a foal/youngster, alot of racehorses get it due to over extension when young etc. I know chips slightly different but fingers tightly crossed he'll pull through and be back to full work after treatment. If not you may have to compete Bud for me when i'm busy with Fin

Hugs and support winging your way. x

Thank you honey.
Im looking into having him referred to Newmarket atm.
I want to make totally sure that injections are teh only way to go right now. I dont want to wait 3 months to find out its done nothing.

He will hate doing nothing, he lives to work being a hack would destroy him, he totally hates hacking as its so boring lol

He likes to be a fancy pants swot! just like Bud.

I cant wait to visit him later.

Good plan, Bud wasn't insured (must get that sorted!) so after first injection didn't really make huge difference after 1 week, which vet said it would, i just thought rest was best option. He didn't really like it either being out and not working but wasn't for too long. Yes they are quite similar, show off smarty pants, just pray it all works out as like you say he's not a hack.
Give him a hug from me xx
