Brought him in tonight, groomed and rode, didn't ride for long as he didn't seem himself.
I put him in his stable with his dinner & hay as usual and when i went to check he had finished he had hardly touched it (usually licks the bowl clean), not eating hay either.
He has wind, is wandering round stable looking like he doesn't know what to do with himself, has got down once (looked like an effort) and rolled but he has been to toilet twice, feels hot but temp is 37.8.
Considered ringing vet but haven't as he has been to toilet twice.
Have come home for some dinner myself and left him with usual water and haynet then am going back to check him again. Hoping he will be looking and feeling better

sounds like spasmodic colic, if he is no better when you check him in a min you should ring the vet.

Just got back from yard. He is now eating his hay, has had a drink and is more alert. Was there for roughly an hour and a half and he didn't roll in that time.
Hopfully he is ok.

Does sound like a touch of colic - too much spring grass perhaps. But if he is pooing and now eating I'd go for a watching breif. Hopefully he's better this morning!

He seems back to normal this morning, has eaten all his hay, more poos in stable. keen to go out as usual, have kept him in the winter paddock today though as he went out in his summer field yesterday which he has never been in before so i think he might have had too much new spring grass.
I have cancelled my lesson for this morning so he can have nice day off.
