Ok, so further to my slipping saddle post i called out a 2nd saddler and it is apparent that my horse has more muscle on one side than the other.

This saddler wont alter my saddle as i have to go back to the original guy who re-flocked it for me but what next?

Will the saddler add flock to it or do i buy one of those build up type numnahs?

When I first go my horse he had more muscle on one side. My saddler added flock to one side. After a couple of months he evened up and the saddler took the flook out.

Your saddler should reflock on-site in order to add and remove flocking as necessary to compensate correctly for your horses imbalance. The saddler should also watch you ride in at least trot before he leaves to check it, and com eback in about four weeks to re-check it and see how it is once settled.

I went for the wow korrector pad that my saddler recommended. Its been fantastic and my boy after 6 weeks is very nearly level. I shall still use the pad as a shock absorber as he has gone really well in it. I have had to adjust it nearly every week as he has gradually changed shape. I bought it online from First Equine Ltd. www.wowsaddles.com under korrector.

You can always sew some gange into an old numnah to compensate, then try some really long and low work to even out the muscle underneath the saddle lots of flexing and circles etc..
As my chiropractor pointed out by altering the saddle it wont allow the muscle to develop properly underneath she also suggested bareback riding again long and low

You can buy specialist numnah's that will help you with this problem.

They have air filled sacks which allow you to inflate different parts of the numnah - which can then obviously be adjusted as the horses shape improves.

Sorry, can't remember who makes them.
