I'm looking at trying some sloping/angled stirrup treads to help me achieve a better leg position.

I find it hard to drape my leg around my rather wide horse and my RI tells me to drop my little toe. I find this hard and I'm working hard with pilates and exercises to loosen my hip/thigh and to stop gripping with my knee.

Has anyone used these stirrups? I know they are supposed to slope TOWARDS the horse, but I wondered if reversing them so my little toe is lower than my big toe might help me with my sticking out feet as it will encourage me to wrap my leg around the horse?

I've used them in that way. Not sure if they helped or whether my leg just got more stable. But what definitely helped was getting a saddle which put my leg in the right place.
