Small child & Small Pony Tack & Clothing - Any Suggestions?

Now that we have found a super Section A for our son who is soon to be 4yo the rest of the expense starts. We need a bridle for the pony and short person length stirrup leathers, plus jodphur boots (or the riding trainery type boots with a safe heel) and I'm not able to come up with anything in sizes small enough.

Does anyone have ideas on suppliers or makes that do extra small sizes?

Go onto E-bay...it's brill 1/2 the price of many tack shops..

try www.mad4ponies.co.uk for small boots, jodhs etc. (their chipmunk boots are fab).
www.equestrianclearance.co.uk have cheap hats (cheap on price not standard), and other bits and bobs.

There's a shop on ebay which does saddle, bridle, leathers, bit, numnah, stirrups etc, all for about 100 pounds. A little cub saddle should suffice for now.

type in cub saddle in the search facility on equestrian on ebay and they'll come up.

If you don't like ebay shires do some little saddles and accessories, as do robinsons.

I will go through my cupboards, I am sure I have got super small leathers, as my small boy has just got longer ones. What size joddy boots are you looking for?

Unfortunately I sold my cub safari, but I can recommend it. My A, who is very fussy, loved it and it was lovely and secure and comfortable.

Thanks everyone. The cub saddles are good but I got a super little leather saddle with the pony so that's one thing out of the way!

Clodagh - will pm you just now. I do use ebay but for boots I'd like to be able to change for a different size if they don't fit, ditto a bridle.

Had a look at mad4ponies but all for girls and nothing even slightly possible for a boy! I do love the pink nubuck chipmonk boots - do you think I could get off wearing them??

We have had some great stuff from ebay for my grand daughters aged 2 and 4, tiny little joddy's, joddy boots and chaps! All very reasonably priced, just looking for some larger joddy's at the moment as little Kasey(2) has out grown her first ones!

You should definitely have a look at www.smlpackages.com they specialise in tiny pony and children's things and even have plenty of things suitable for boys, not just girls.
