Small clipping disaster. Can anyone near me help?

My clippers have packed up.

Not a problem, can get them fixed BUT they have packed up DURING a clip.

My poor horse has one side of fur and one side naked.
He looks rather ridiculous and all his mates are laughing at him.

Anyone know of any clipping services near me - or willing to lend me some clippers so I can finish off? I am near York.

His only saving grace is that he is a grey and part hippo to boot so maybe, from a distance, you might not notice....

Not sure where the nearest yard is, but that might be an idea.

(mind you, not sure I would lend my clippers to a random stranger who showed up on my doorstep... hmmm)

Thst why I suggested bribing them (wine or wonga) to come and finish for you, or even accompany you while you finish it off. Maybe take the broken one with you to prove your point?!

i know what you can do... you can make it look deliberate. when out hunting, you could dress to coordinate. one half of you could be winter themed (i'm thinking santa/snowman) and the other half summer themed (hawaiian shirt?).

imagine the laughter....

JUst thought, Martin Bassitt at Birdsall does clipping, cant find his number but he is right next door to the middleton hunt kennels so if you call them they will know his number for sure and he has always helped us out if we're in a pickle.

Maybe ask an RS/livery on the phone (and say you can use them at their stables, if you have transport) and explain the situation ??

Do you have any trimmers, I once finished a clip with a pair of old Moser Rex trimmers which must be about 30 years old.

Took a long time but they did it
