most of my hacking means that we have to go through a small gap with metal posts either side (to ensure no motorbikes can get through i think)! my horse spooked going through it about a year ago and crushed my leg. now i hate going through it but don't really have much option. i can sense that my horse is now getting nervous as i try to keep both legs on to stop him falling out either way and crushing me again, which can result in him leaping through it instead which doesn't help my issue at all!
does anyone have any good ideas or have to tackle similar things>?

I am extremly nervous of getting banged as I have had a major knee reconstruction I have taught my horse to walk forward from the voice though narrow gaps with my legs lifted up along the top of his neck does not look cool but does the job.

thanks, i do this with another that a ride, agreed it does not look cool. but my horse can be prone to a spin out of the blue so like to keep my legs on his side!

I broke my ankle by a crush on a fence post while riding so im another for nervous going through gaps. Stick your legs above the saddle as suggested above, that works but wont be much fun if naglett does launch!
