Hi!

Anyone know anything about showing small hunters? I've seen they should be full up 15.2hh but my boy is no where near that big! He would he a great SHP but I'm over age. Anyone have any similar experience?

Thanks

What sort of size is be? Tbh a SHP doesn’t tend to make a good small hunter.
Pop a picture up and we could tell you.

Most in the class will be a full up 158cms (15.2hh)

This was my small hunter

A successful small will be a fat TB or WB with lots of quality and a full 15.2 that will look 16h.

I had a horse assessed by the late Robert Oliver and those were his words. My horse who is a scaled down MW would have been very successful 20 years ago, but not today despite being beautifully educated, straight moving and a very nice type. We have had fun but tend to get overlooked in preference for light boned types.

This is my boy.
I've not measure him recently but I'm concerned he will go over height for m&m classes as he is still bum high! I'm worried he would still have "pony movement" though. I was trying to think of what other classes we could have a shot incase he does keep growing. Never done any hunter classes so thought I could ask some experts.
Beautiful horses! Thanks for your feedback! Let me know what you think.
