Hi
I have been asked to run the show jumping classes at our little village show, its been years since i competed so forgotten mostly everything!
We thought to have 3 classes, minimus..up to 1ft 3 for beginner horse/pony or rider
novice up to 2ft and then intermediate up to 2ft3 I know they are small but its mainly kids and ponies who dont compete much.

Should it be...4 faults for a refusal and a knockdown? All clear rounds go through to a jump off and if no one goes clear, then the winner is the one with the least faults?

Anyone with any help/advice please!

Yer that sounds right, usually elimination after to stops but when i run are fun show at the yard, i usually try and help them a least get over the fence there having probs with as i like to think of these shows as training for the bigger one. I do however eliminate for fall offs.

If you have no clears i tend to have the ones with 1 knock down jump off as you may havve more than one and you still get the jump off, the fun bit.:D
