Any ideas? My horse has a small lump at the top of her cannon bone just below knee. Its only about the width of finger nail and its squishy. Its not at the side just the back. I recon she has prob just bumped it whilst messing in the field. Has anyone else had a similar swelling. Its not a splint or fly bite. It feels more like a raised vein. If its not gone soon I am going to get the vet.

Could be a little loss of smooth muscle tone in the vein - a small aneurysm

My lad has ons on his back leg. Vet said nothing to worry about, but you should get it checked out to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replies it does look like a raised vein. Got the vet coming tomorrow fingers crossed its nothing to worry about :-)
