Looking for ideas to create a small turnout pen to transition a horse from box rest. Something you you add to gradually to increase the size ?
Horse is over 16hh.

Is there such a thing as hiring ? Any places that sell secondhand ?
Or if I have to buy (incl secondhand option) would appreciate websites, FB pages suggestions ?

Thank you

Coblet is currently on box rest following his annular ligament desmotomy and I'm hoping after next week when he has his sutures out that he too can move onto small pen turn out at least for several hours a day. I'm going to fashion one using electric fencing next to the others grazing so he should be settled and head down grazing.

Depends if they will jump out. If they will, you’ll have to be creative! I’ve had a box rested 13.2 pony jump out over a 4ft fence in a paddock the size of two stables!

I used electric fencing when I had one supposed to be on box rest but wasn't really enjoying it! It was fine as long as you have a horse that does respect it. Heras fencing i find a bit scary, Its just too light and flimsy and yes, many people use it, it's one of those things you get away with until you don't imo.
I once turned a horse who'd been on box rest out into a proper pen, I cant think what they are called but like the walker outer panels, designed to withstand horses properly anchored down and with a high gate . The horse went ballistic and tried to jump out, obviously way too high so it smashed into the side. If that had been heras the whole lot would have flipped and it doesn't bear thinking about what would could have become of the horse.
