Small pony transport

Hi. I have a trailer that carries the horses on the diagonal. We are just about to aquire a 10hh welsh/Shetland cross and I am concerned that he will be able to get under the dividers either deliberately or accidentally. There are pladtic skirts under the dividers and normally he will be travelling with a bigger horse. Help, any advice please?

Tie him the other way round if there is more depth to the partition at the 'bum' end?
Find a way of adding something to the partition? Like ply with drilled holes to lash onto existing?
Tie on pillar reins?

Do you have a bit at the front like a normal trailer? I used to travel my shetland tied up there.

I think a wooden divider extension might be the best option. Thanks

When we had to take a mini Shetland to the vets we wedged hay bales in the trailer to make a smaller area for him

I used to cross tie my mini and he had a big hay net in front as a bit of a barrier he never budged ?
