My apologies for this but, ahhhhhhh!, why do people put thier horses up for sale, pay money for advertising, etc and arrange for you too go try the horse and then get a call saying they have decided to keep the horse. Thankgod I hadn't wasted my time going down there, which is a good few miles, as I would be seriously PISSED OFF if they had told me after the trek!!!

I understand that circumstances may change but make sure that you are actually wanting to sell the horse before you advertise. It is upsetting for the buyer when they get exited over a horse and then the rug is pulled from under our feet.

I know, had a horse three weeks, all set to phone and buy....owners called to say they were missing it.
Then sold it 6months later!
luckily for us it then never regained form, turned out to have joint problems

Is that to me?

Sorry being a bit thick!

Its so annoying a few years ago after my boy was pts sleep I deciced to buy a foal, went to see a 4 month colt it was a bit of a way but went on a few occasions he was a stunner I paid my deposit and made arragments for after he was weened, the following week I got a cheque in the post and a letter saying they decided not to sell him, on the grapevine I heard someone else had come to see him and offered her more money for him how true that was I do not know but I was so upset over it

Unfortunately it does happen. I travelled 200 miles to few a pony that was for loan 3 years ago. Owner travelled up to check our place out and then said she had decided not to put pony on loan. I was worried it was because she didn't like our place, but 1 year later, she wrote and said she had changed her mind.

I decided not to take any chances and told her I wanted to buy the pony and I did.
