It has come to my attention that tack here is a) mostly crap! and b) very, very expensive for what it is. A crappy bridle costs $200 (that's pesos, not dollars) which is about 35 quid. This doesn't SEEM like much, but over here, where a VERY nice saddle costs $1000 it's more like 200 quid!!
Also, it's impossible to get good quality second hand tack. It's impossible to get sh:tty quality second hand tack, so I thought I could start offering this service locally to my clubs (I have a few handy contacts) People here being very skint and also rather stingy, I think they would appreciate this service and it won't cost much for me to get started (what with 'tack swap' (still available *cough cough* and so on...)
Anyway, I was hoping you kind peeps could suggest what brands to look out for that are sort of middle of the road quality (Jeffries/stubben etc are FAR too nice and expensive for Cordoba minds and pockets) that I can get second hand, and what sort of price I could expect to pay. I'm quite fond of Shires stuff for this sort of thing.
Items I hope to get hold of and sell are bridles, reins, martingales, breast plates, leathers, perhaps a bit of bling too!!

numnahs, saddle cloths, saddle pads...
I would also consider some new stuff (esp for PF!)
Thank you all!
