small stones in my horse feed? Anyone else found these in their feed

As I said, Put out my horses feed, and this is the third time tonight, that I found a small stone in my horses bowl, after feeding.
I wash them thoroughly before making up the feed. I dont know if I should contact the horse feed provider,
What would you do, (should I say which feed it was?
Any views?? Surely there shouldnt be stones in the horses feed, Im worried?

can you see any in the feed if you pick some up in your hands out of the bag?

well, cant see anything in the alfa a, and cant see any in the mix, but Im thinking its definitely in the mix, as its so difficult to see anything, with all the different grain.

How wee was the stone? I found that once in ALi's and wondered for ages then noticed that he had some plaque on his teeth and it had been some of that !

i found a lump of metal in my alpha a?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and have just found a piece of stone in next lot of alpha! take the offender to your feed store to give to the dengie rep! i got a free bag of alpha a re compensation! a stone could be a naturally harvested intruder that sneaked through but a chunk of metal isnt!

well, its big enough, that the horses are leaving it in the bucket.
It happened two days ago, found one in my arabs bucket, when he was finished, last night found one in my big horses feed, and tonight, found one in my broodmares bucket?, cant dismiss it anymore, they are about the size of a tooth, redish colour, definitely a bit of stone,. I cant see anything in the alfa a with oil, so Im presuming its out of the baileys mix?

I found small stones in a new bag of chaff once and contacted the feed company. They said they had bought in some Spanish alfalfa chaff and the quality control on it hadn't been up to their standards, and sent me a voucher for a replacement.

I found small stones regularly in my horses buckets when I fed Alfa A and Fibremix. So would think it's the Dengie brand that's at fault. Now feed Mollichaff complete feed and I never find any stones

I found one a couple of days ago!!! Its completely flummoxed me.... it was red and about the size of a tooth..... will be keeping my eyes peeled. I have Dengie hi fi so i guess could have come from that..

thats exactly what I have been finding.. red and about half a tooth, on to a new bag now, so will see if theres anymore.
