Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me because I'm really struggling.

Recommendations for a smaller warmblood stallion with dressage breeding please? Needs to be UNDER 16h2, modern[not too chunky] and with a good hind leg and canter. Not too long in the back either. And available to the UK - so don't mind if he is in Europe or here in the UK.

Have tried Dauphin, but he isn't available outside Germany, and would prefer not to use Mooiman this time, even though he is super.

Have you seen Longdean Westminster available through Bowland stud near Clitheroe. Have a look on their website, I bought a colt off them by a different stallion 7 years ago they were very easy to deal with.

If you don't mind the possibility of colour, although that would open your sales options, then Amour G would tick your boxes.
16h 1.5 in, dam sire May Sherif, although he has a decent amount of bone, he is extremely light on his feet and really lifts through his paces, ie, he's not just a leg mover.

I used him on my small Mooiman mare and was very pleased with the resulting bay colt.

Thank you - I had thought of him, but I'm wanting to put to a fairly chunky pony mare to get a small warmblood type/large pony without too much pony characteristic. I'm afraid that if I got colour people wouldn't be able to see past the 'small and coloured' and would only think pony, not dressage. Besides, my partner won't go down the coloured line - yet!

Hi You could look at Spring's Spirit he has some fine breeding with DR and jumping in his blood lines and he is quite fine and not expensive. We have a 3yo by him out of an Uptons Deli Circus mare and he has refined her look and movement.

He is on facebook and has his own web page so should be easy to find.
