Smart hacking jackets

alexander james jackets are stunning and if you order a standard size if it doesnt fit you can send it back. Thier sizes tend to come up a bit big so order her ususal size and then if it doesnt fit you can exchange it.
If you phone them they willl send you samples of the tweeds they have in stock and you choose the one you want and the trims you want on it! They have more tweeds then shown on the website

They will also do adjustments to any jacket of thiers that you buy.

Annoyingly the best choice for jackets would have been at The Equine Fair in November when there were lots of stands selling them, but she had no cash then..
We have a couple of local tackshops but they won't be anywhere near as cheap as on line, but I agree, before ordering she needs to try some on. The current Caldene looks super but is a little tight, and is measuring two inches less than her bust size so I am sure she needs the next size up. Our nearest places to seee any jackets are 15 and 24 miles away so it won't be today, she's got two training sessions booked this afternoon..

The lessons were cancelled due to her trainer being ill (isn't everyone, the bugs are terrible this year!) so CCJ and friend hot footed off to our local posh saddlers today to try on jackets.
The 36 fastened but is definitely too tight across her back.
The 38 is too big on the shoulders in every make she tried, it seems she is narrow shouldered and big boobed!
So it looks like a made to measure job so we will be contacting the recommended firms asap.
At least that way I can even send them her current jacket and pics showing where the new one needs to be more generous.
Thanks everyone for your help, it's been invaluable..

I was going to suggest Caldene until i got half way through your post!!! I'll have a look at what make mine is later, as used it through some very hot days and didn't over heat!
