I am attempting to smarten my hairy cob up a bit.
Not show cob style hogged and feathers off, more nicely pulled mane, little bit of feather off where it starts at the back of knees (still need to hide conformation errors etc) and a tidy tail not quite an extreme pulled job.
Just so we look a bit smarter for Dressage and a Pleasure ride at the end of the month.
So, has any one tried the Smart Tails gadget at £21.80?

Your recommendations or not as the case maybe - or shall I just carry on with the pulling (which he hates)?

yes go for it, they do a nice tail

i rue the day i thought id try it on my manes though as its bollocks'd them and im waiting for them to recover

agree they work really well even on tails like wire - looks really smart when you have done it.
However, just thinking if your coblet has a classic fat dock and chubby bottom, just be aware that they find the regrowth/stubble a lot itchy so you either need to keep on top of it esp. the bits round the sides that touch their bum or properly pull if you can/they let you otherwise they will rub and you end up with a right mess that looks less like a pulled and tidied tail and more like a bald thing! (bitter experience here.....)
also - on coblet hair they don't tend to stay sharp too long so you may need to buy replacment blades quicker than you think.
ooh, sounds really negative but I do genuinely use one all the while!!

But if he is buying of the derby house clearance zone and then flogging them for more on ebay...Cheeky!
